Produktinformationen "Burn Down The Children's Playground"
This unusual fantasy novel is aimed at the heart of humankind's conscience. Using the words and thoughts of seven very different historic figures, it attempts to elbow the reader in their ribs in order to get them to rethink their priorities. The protagonist, simply known as 'the old man', meets each historic character one by one, as they enter a boardroom conjured up by the old man's imagination as a result of an acid trip. A G7 meeting then commences, in which each participant presents their thoughts on a particular social or political problem, resulting in a checklist of potential solutions. Furthermore, this psychedelic experience allows the old man to witness at first-hand how his grandchildren, and their descendants, may suffer, if he continues his life without attempting to make changes. His mind is made up: he will become an activist in order to help change politics and attitudes by peaceful means. He will start by writing a book (this is it!) and a website to collect additional support. In around 100 pages this book contains comments on many socio-political problems and attempts, with the help of seven historic characters from the present, past and future, to find possible solutions. The author also wrote a website in order to collect signatures of like minded peope world wide - peaceful activists. A link to the site can be found in the credits section at the end of this book.
