Absolute Surrender

In "Absolute Surrender," Andrew Murray lays bare the many ways in which we surrender to God. He also explains why absolute surrender is the only way to live a life that allows God to do what He promised to do in our lives. In this well-loved classic, Murray comforts by emphasizing that the work of sanctification and surrender rests on the shoulders of Christ, not ours. "...your God in Heaven answers the prayers which you have offered for blessing on yourselves and for blessing on those around you by this one demand: Are you willing to surrender yourselves absolutely into His hands? May God have a word for all!" Though a rather short book, Absolute Surrender does take time to digest. Not because it's hard to read--but because of the life-altering message it contains. The message seems counter intuitive at first. The idea of totally giving up one's will and submitting to a higher authority is not an easy one for humans to accept. As the book progresses, however, readers will see that what they are giving up, in addition to being faulty, was never really theirs. Furthermore, the benefit of receiving power, provisions, and protection from an Almighty, ever-loving God far outweighs what is surrendered. A truly beautiful book with a transformational message!
