Songs like 'The Ballad of Mac the Knife' and 'Pirate Jenny' are worldwide hits. In 1933 Germany lost this musician of the century. Kurt Weill and his partner Lotte Lenya emigrated to the USA where his conceptionally innovative works and many hits helped him to become a successful Broadway composer.
